Merlin Custom Home Builders is pleased to announce that Erica Morrison recently became an owner of the firm, partnering with Steve and Bart Jones in their mission to transform their clients’ dreams and visions into unique, elite luxury custom homes and condominiums that exceed expectations in both design and function. In conjunction with her new ownership role, she will serve as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.

As Chief Operating Officer, Erica Morrison will manage the daily administrative and operational activities of the company to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and compliance with legal and other standards. She is also responsible for carrying out Merlin’s commitment to providing a positive building experience for our homeowners by communicating with clients throughout the luxury custom house building process; informing them of progress, answering questions, and relaying their requests to the team.
Over the past 15 years with the firm, Erica Morrison has learned the business and proven her ability time and time again. When she joined the Merlin team in 2004 as a receptionist, she had no experience in the construction industry, but quickly learned the business. Over the next few years, she continued to advance her knowledge of the industry and develop her leadership skills, and was promoted to Project Manager. In that role, she managed 10 ground-ups and more than 10 remodels, organizing the project budget, contracting subcontractors, maintaining cost control and overseeing project scheduling. These projects included the Show Home at the Estates at Reflection Bay and several top quality custom homes at The Ridges (Custom Home and Pool House at The Ridges, Custom Home at The Ridges, and Custom Home at The Ridges- 3).
During the recession, Erica Morrison stepped up to manage the company’s marketing efforts. Her hard work and initiative were rewarded with a promotion to Office Manager. In this position, she played a key role in the firm’s projects, organizing budgets, contracting subcontractors, maintaining cost control, and overseeing project scheduling. Her oversight ensured that custom house building projects were completed on time and within budget.
