We are pleased to welcome John Necs, Director of Field Operations, to the Merlin team. John brings a wide range of construction experience and expertise to Merlin, having worked and interacted with high-end commercial clients, designers, and architects in and around Las Vegas for more than 17 years.
Erica Morrison, Partner and Chief Operating Officer, explained that John’s experience with casino operators will be invaluable to Merlin. “John has intimate knowledge of the commercial construction business in Las Vegas and has established many relationships with developers and casino owners alike,” she said. “We are excited for John to work with our team to further enhance our quality and commitment to our clients.”
Born and raised in Europe, John moved to Chicago to attend college. In 2006, he started his construction career on the project teams for two of the most iconic hotel properties shaping the current Las Vegas skyline—Aria and Cosmopolitan. Over the next 17 years, John was primarily involved in commercial construction associated with the major casino operators on the Las Vegas Strip. He specializes in ground-up builds for hotels and casinos as well as civil work and fast-paced remodels. His vast portfolio of successful projects ranges from celebrity chef-inspired restaurants to a high-end retail store that carries luxury goods brands.
