Merlin Custom Home Builders was recently awarded the Gold Award for Custom Home Builders in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2020 Best of Las Vegas Awards competition. The awards, which are reader-nominated and selected, cover 13 categories and 350 sub-categories for businesses in Clark and Nye counties. Merlin won the top award (gold) in the Real Estate sub-category of Best Custom Home Builder. The company was recognized along with the top three award winners in each sub-category in BOLV magazine, a special insert that ran in the December 13, 2020 edition of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“To be recognized by the people in our local community is a great honor,” said Steve Jones, Founder and CEO of Merlin Custom Home Builders. “On behalf of my brother, Bart, and everyone at Merlin Custom Home Builders, I extend my sincere thanks to the Las Vegas Review-Journal and all of the readers who voted for us.”
The 2020 Best of Las Vegas Awards is annual competition in which readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal nominate and then vote for outstanding people, businesses and establishments in Clark and Nye counties. The start of the contest, which typically begins in June, was moved to August this year in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the pandemic, the contest received the largest number of nominations in its 39-year history – nearly double the amount of nominations received in 2019.
Voting was held September 1-30 and more than 5.6 million votes were cast to determine which business would receive the Gold Award. Winners were announced on the website and in the magazine published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Sunday, December 13, 2020.
