Merlin Custom Home Builders is proud to announce that we are finalists in four categories for the 2021 Silver Nugget Awards, the annual awards honoring excellence in the Southern Nevada Home Builders Industry. Merlin’s finalist nominations, which are all for the “V-Elements” custom home at The Summit owned by Duncan and Irene Lee, include Best Design and Architecture, Primary Bathroom, Best Kitchen, and Best Outdoor Living Space. In addition, Merlin is a Jade Sponsor for the event which will be held on Friday, October 15 at the J.W. Marriott on Rampart Boulevard in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled that the V-Elements home is receiving so much recognition from the home builders’ community,” said Steve Jones, Founder and CEO of Merlin. “To be finalists in four categories for this one spectacular home is a tribute to all of the people who worked so diligently to make our clients’ dream home a reality.”
In addition to Merlin’s four finalist categories, the V-Elements home is also in the running for the 2021 Home of the Year award.
“V-Elements” was designed according to the Chinese five elements philosophy which states that every interaction in the universe is based on the relationship between the five fundamental elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. The contemporary hill-top home, which sits majestically above The Summit’s golf course, features comfortably-sized spaces that are warmed with generous amounts of all five elements. The home is accented with rich beautiful woods, water, concrete, metal and fire features that add to the dramatic 11,803 square foot structure (which includes 7,400 square feet of livable space).
V-Elements was designed by Las Vegas Architect Eric Strain and his Assemblage Studio, with landscape architecture by Dennis Vang of Vangson Consulting.

The Silver Nugget Awards program is a joint effort of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and the Las Vegas Review-Journal that honors the best in design and professionalism in local home building. The 2021 awards will honor more than 35 winners from over 120 nominees, including home builders, interior designers, marketing directors and sales directors.
Merlin Custom Home Builders won the 2019 Silver Nugget Award for Best Design and Architecture for the Water’s Edge model custom home located in the Estates at Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas, and were finalists in the 2020 Silver Nugget Awards for Best Design and Architecture and Best Outdoor Living Space for the Terra Custom Home at The Summit.
