Merlin Announces New Superintendent – John Grimes
Merlin Custom Home Builders is pleased to welcome John Grimes to our team. As a Project Superintendent, John will draw from his extensive management and construction experience when supervising all aspects of a building project from initial planning to completion in order to ensure the quality and reliability for which Merlin is known in the custom home industry.
“We are thrilled to have John join the Merlin team,” stated Steve Jones, Founder and CEO of Merlin Custom Home Builders. “His extensive knowledge and experience in every aspect of building and remodeling, coupled with his robust engineering skills and supervisory experience, make him a great fit for the Merlin team. I am sure John will be a great asset to both the team and our valued clients.”
John has been associated with many luxury builds in his career. One project of particular pride to John is a home in Kona, Hawaii on which he served as project superintendent. That home, which John describes as “an amazing work of art requiring a lot of forethought and care to bring to completion,” was featured in Architectural Digest in January 2018.
“I am excited to be a part of the Merlin team,” stated Grimes. “I look forward to continuing to build high-end residential homes and to share my knowledge and experiences with my new construction family.”
A veteran in the construction business, John spent more than 17 years in roles ranging from Superintendent, Project Engineer and Foreman for high-end residential construction firms. He moved to Las Vegas in September 2018 to be closer to family. Prior to taking on superintendent responsibilities, he had his own contracting business where he worked on home additions and tenant improvements. Earlier in his career he honed his skills by getting hands-on experience in many of the different trades.
John is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Please join us in welcoming John to the Merlin team and in wishing him success in this role!
