With the recent retirement of Partner & CFO, Bart Jones, Erica Morrison, Part-Owner and Chief Operating Officer of Merlin, will move into the partner position with Founder & CEO, Steve Jones. In addition, Sara Eisert, Comptroller, will assume Bart’s former financial duties.

Both Erica and Sara have already begun transitioning into their new roles.

Upon the announcement, Steve expressed his confidence in Erica, saying “I am excited to embark on this new chapter at Merlin. Bart was instrumental in building our company and our reputation and he has left some pretty big shoes to fill, but I am confident that Erica will prove to be a very capable partner and put her own stamp on the company.”

Erica joined Merlin in 2004 and, over the past 17 years, has learned the ins and outs of running a construction firm specializing in multi-million dollar custom homes. She worked very hard to advance her knowledge of the construction industry and develop her leadership skills, as evidenced by her rise through the ranks at Merlin – from Receptionist to Project Manager, Office Manager, part-owner and Chief Operating Officer, and now Partner.

As partner she will be the face of the company and be dedicated to growing the business while ensuring a positive experience for our luxury home clients.

“The Merlin team, including Bart and Steve, have become family to me over the past 17 years, so I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to lead the company,” said Erica. “I look forward to working closely with Steve to build upon the client-centric success model that he and Bart created.”

Steve also spoke highly of Sara Eisert, saying, “I have every confidence that Sara will transition smoothly into the financial role. As the firm’s Comptroller, she worked closely with Bart over the years and has a lot of experience with the firm’s finances, so it will be a natural transition for her. I am sure she will be able to pick up right where Bart left off.”

Sara joined the company in 2011 with a background of owning and managing a variety of businesses, and she has become a valuable member of the leadership team. As Comptroller, she oversees accounting practices such as accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions. She is also currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Western Governor’s University, with just six classes remaining before she graduates.

Sara expressed her excitement about her expanded role. “I am excited to start this new chapter with the company,” she said. “I have learned so much from Bart and everyone at Merlin over the past decade and look forward to continue learning and growing with the firm.”

Please join us in congratulating Erica Morrison and Sara Eisert on their new and exciting roles at Merlin!
